The 1000 and 2000 sizes are ideal for trout and small perch with ultralight tackle. The 2500 and 3000 sizes suit active lure fishing for perch, zander, and smaller pike. The 4000 size is a versatile choice for zander and pike across various techniques. The 5000 size delivers the capacity and power needed for big pike fishing with larger lures and braided lines.
Yes. The Superior's deep and shallow-spool variants (S/MSH/SH/H) are specifically designed to accommodate both monofilament and braided lines. The shallow-spool models especially excel with braided line, offering reduced friction and direct contact with your lure.
After saltwater use, rinse with fresh water. Periodically clean the spool and body with a soft, damp cloth. Apply light reel oil to the handle connection and check anti-reverse function regularly. The Carbon Matrix drag system requires no special maintenance; simply ensure it stays clean and dry when storing.
S models use 5.2:1 gear ratio. SH and similar variants use 6.2:1 for faster retrieve. H models feature 5.6:1 ratio, a good middle-ground speed.
