The 2000S offers 69 cm retrieve, while the 2000SH increases this to 83 cm and 5 kg max drag for faster lure presentations. Choose by the retrieve you want rather than size alone.
The 2500S retrieves 73 cm per turn, while the 2500SH and 2500MSH retrieve 87 cm. Both 3000 models retrieve 96 cm. Yes, Superior is designed with braided-line use in mind, and many models have shallow spools. The 2000S, 2000SH, 2500S and 4000SH are explicitly described as shallow-spooled. The 3000MSH is described as deep-spooled and compatible with mono or braid. Listed capacities are for mono, so they do not establish braid capacity.
The handle supports left- or right-hand retrieval, so you can choose your preferred side. Always-ON Instant Anti-Reverse has no on/off lever, so backward handle rotation is not selectable. Line release during a fight is handled by the front drag rather than selectable backwinding.

Four stainless steel HPCR ball bearings and one roller bearing work with the Silent oscillating COG design to provide smooth rotation when retrieving lures. The range spans compact trout and perch models through larger options for zander and pike.

Compare actual retrieve per turn rather than gear ratio alone. The 5000H has a lower ratio than the SH models but retrieves more line than the 2500SH because the listed recovery rates differ. Capacity figures refer to monofilament at the stated diameter, not to an equivalent length of braid.
