The Abu Garcia REVO3 X spinning reels are built for freshwater predator lure fishing. Their lightweight design, aluminium body and precision-cut gearing combine manageable weight with a rigid housing for the gear train. The family covers models 2000, 2500, 2500H, 3000H and 4000H, with different line capacities and retrieves.
All models have 6+1 stainless steel bearings, a Rocket Turbine aluminium spool and slow locomotive spool oscillation. The bearings support smooth rotation, while slow spool travel lays the line as you retrieve. The extra-rigid aluminium bail guides line onto the spool. High-density EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) handle knobs provide a comfortable grip during repeated retrieves, and the handle can be positioned on either the right or left to suit your preferred winding hand.
The front drag uses a hybrid carbon/felt system to control line release under load. The 2000 has a stated maximum drag of 4.8 kg, while all other models are rated at 5.2 kg. Choose by the required line capacity and retrieve as well as the drag rating, rather than assuming that the larger models have a stronger drag.
