The SG8 100 is a compact low-profile baitcasting reel (also referred to as LP BC) built for casting light to medium-heavy lures — softbaits, crankbaits and jerkbaits — at perch, trout, zander and pike. A one-piece EDP-painted aluminium frame, 7+1 steel ball bearings (including two Japanese bearings) and a brass worm shaft combine rigidity with long-term smoothness.
The one-piece aluminium frame with matching side plates resists flex under load, while a separate stainless-steel reel seat keeps the reel locked down on the rod. A hinged side plate on the 100 size makes day-to-day maintenance and line changes straightforward.
An internal centrifugal brake governs spool speed during the cast, letting anglers tune the reel to their lure weight and casting style. A non-loss tension knob complements the brake for fine adjustment without the risk of losing the dial.
A 9 kg max drag with audible Dragclicker gives confidence when a big zander or pike takes line. A Line-ID window on the spool reminds you which line is loaded. The 130 m / 0.28 mm capacity is a practical match for standard mono or fluoro in the usual European predator diameters, with room for plenty of braid at finer diameters.
DuraGrease lubrication, a brass worm shaft and 7+1 steel bearings keep the retrieve buttery cast after cast. Flat TPE soft-touch handle knobs reduce fatigue during long sessions.
The 6.6:1 version (66 cm per turn) is the balanced all-rounder for crankbaits, slow-rolled softbaits and steady presentations. The 8.1:1 version (81 cm per turn) is the fast-pickup choice for soft jerkbaits, topwaters, and covering water quickly.
