The Savage Gear Rotex Spinner is a sinking freshwater spinner for trout, salmon and other predators in rivers, streams and stillwaters. Its shape was refined through thousands of hours of testing. Rotation starts as soon as it hits the water and continues at slow retrieve speeds, so you can fish slowly without losing the rotating action.
The family has five size designations, each with a fixed weight: 1 at 3.5 g, 2 at 5.5 g, 3 at 8 g, 4 at 11 g and 5 at 14 g. The supplier reports the corresponding hook sizes as 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Choose the weight within your rod's casting range, then choose the colour. The lighter versions suit lighter tackle, while the heavier versions require a setup rated for their greater casting weight. All versions sink, but no fixed running depth is specified.
