No. The Slider already moves side to side on a steady retrieve, making it accessible to beginners. A quick sequence of short jerks with pauses brings out its fuller action and flank flash, so you can start by winding and then add rod movements.
The supplier identifies pike and zander as targets and highlights the smaller models for perch, trout and asp. Choose the 5 or 7 cm versions for a smaller presentation, or 10 or 12 cm for a larger one. Weights range from 8 to 70 g, so check the chosen weight against your tackle rather than selecting by length alone.
At 7, 10 and 12 cm, floating versions weigh 17, 36 and 60 g, while sinking versions weigh 21, 46 and 70 g. Floating lures rise during pauses, while sinking lures descend. The 5 cm version is sinking at 8 g, so choose a larger size if you require a floating Slider.
The supplier lists 0.5–1 m for the sinking 5 and 7 cm versions, 1 m for the floating 7 cm and both 10 cm versions, and 1–2 m for both 12 cm versions. Use the depth together with size, weight and buoyancy to choose your variant, as floating and sinking versions behave differently during pauses even when their listed depths match.
Yes. The supplier supports both slow and fast retrieves, as well as short jerks with pauses. You can change the presentation speed with the same lure, while using jerks when you want its more pronounced side-to-side action and flank flash.
No. Each pack contains one lure in the selected variant, not an assortment. Colours are not available in every size and buoyancy combination, so select your required specifications and then choose an available colour.

The Salmo Slider Jerkbait Wobbler is a glider for predator lure fishing. It moves from side to side even on a steady retrieve, making the action accessible to beginners. Short jerks and pauses bring out its fuller action, with alternating glides and flashes of its flanks. The supplier highlights pike and zander, with the smaller models also suited to perch, trout and asp.
Work the Slider with a quick sequence of short jerks interrupted by pauses to combine its right-left movement with flank flash. It also works on slow and fast retrieves, so you can change presentation speed without changing lure. The supplier particularly highlights waters containing deep-bodied prey fish such as white bream and bream.
The available combinations are:
| Length | Weight | Buoyancy | Listed running depth | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 5 cm | 8 g | Sinking | 0.5–1 m | | 7 cm | 17 g | Floating | 1 m | | 7 cm | 21 g | Sinking | 0.5–1 m | | 10 cm | 36 g | Floating | 1 m | | 10 cm | 46 g | Sinking | 1 m | | 12 cm | 60 g | Floating | 1–2 m | | 12 cm | 70 g | Sinking | 1–2 m |
The 5 cm model is the smallest and lightest option, and the supplier includes the small models in its ultralight-spinning guidance. The 5 and 7 cm versions offer smaller presentations for perch, trout and asp. The 10 and 12 cm versions provide a larger presentation for pike and zander, with more weight to account for when matching your tackle. At the same length, floating versions are lighter and rise during pauses, while sinking versions descend. Choose by buoyancy as well as the listed depth, since the two versions do not behave alike when you stop retrieving.
