The Predax Split Rings (Sprengringe) in size XS deliver a solid 15kg breaking strength in a compact 5mm flat-steel ring — purpose-built for finesse rigs, small trebles, and lightweight hard baits.
Unlike round-wire rings, these split rings are pressed from flat steel, which makes opening them with a split ring tool smooth and controlled. Once fitted, the ring's high spring-back force snaps it fully closed again — no gaps, no accidental hook or lure loss mid-session.
At 5mm diameter and 15kg rated load, the XS ring handles treble hooks on small and medium hard baits, connects stinger hooks to soft-plastic rigs, and links snap swivels to lure attachment eyes. A compact all-rounder for perch, trout, asp, and similar predator fishing with light to medium tackle.
Predax Split Rings are available in six sizes to cover everything from finesse freshwater fishing to heavy offshore work. Match size to your target species, lure class, and expected load:
