The Salmo Hornet is a compact, lively wobbler that punches well above its size — reaching depths of 1–2.6 m to put your lure right in front of perch, pike, zander, and trout wherever they hold.

With its polycarbonate bill and 2.6 g body, this 3.5 cm Hornet dives confidently into the 1–2.6 m window — the depth where predators frequently ambush baitfish along weed edges, current seams, and dropoffs. You feel the tight, distinctive action all the way through the rod tip, so you always know the lure is fishing correctly.

Versatile Technique, One Lure

Cast upstream or down, retrieve with or against the current — the Hornet handles both with ease. In rivers, a slow upstream retrieve or a fast downstream swing both trigger strikes. Short pauses near likely holding spots are especially effective. In still water it works equally well on the cast or trolled; brief rod-tip surges during the troll add an erratic kick that often provokes a reaction bite. A single VMC Black Nickel treble gives reliable, strong hook-ups without overloading the small frame.
