The Salmo Freediver is a polycarbonate wobbler built for serious predator fishing — equally at home trolled from a boat in deep water or cast from the bank. At 9cm and 12g, it covers the depth range where pike, zander, and perch spend most of their time.
The polycarbonate diving lip and variable swimming depth make the Freediver remarkably versatile. Retrieve it at a moderate pace from the bank and it works down to 4m; slow-troll it behind a boat and it dives to 9m. That range lets you follow fish through the water column without changing lures.
The integrated Long Cast system shifts the centre of gravity during the cast, adding distance without sacrificing the tight, enticing wobble on the retrieve. Once the lure is swimming, the built-in rattle delivers a consistent acoustic signal that triggers reaction strikes from predators even in stained or deep water. Ultrasonic body welding and robust split rings keep everything intact through hard-fighting pike and zander.
The Freediver 9cm comes in two colour options to suit different water and light conditions:
