The Rapala MaxRap (Maximum Casting) is a precision-engineered hard-body lure that combines distance casting with irresistible predator-triggering action. The 15 cm / 23 g Live Green Mackerel version is built for open-water species that key in on larger baitfish.

Maximum Distance, Consistent Accuracy

The internal MaXCast weight-transfer mechanism shifts tungsten balls towards the tail during the cast, loading the lure for exceptional distance and flat, stable flight. On the water, the balls lock back into position to restore the bait's perfectly balanced swim, so you get both range and repeatable action on every cast.

Two Actions in One Retrieve

A steady retrieve produces the classic Rapala wounded-minnow wobble — a tight, side-to-side roll that imitates a struggling baitfish. Apply sharp twitches and the MaxRap responds with wild, erratic darts that are almost impossible for predators to ignore. The holographic foil finish and moulded scale detail intensify the flash, making the lure visible and convincing in green or murky coastal water.
