The Penn Slammer IV 2500 combines IPX6-sealed protection with HT-100 carbon fiber drag and CNC-machined brass gearing to deliver smooth, reliable performance in the harshest saltwater conditions.

Sealed against the elements

IPX6 sealing on both body and spool keeps saltwater out of the internal mechanics, extending the reel's lifespan even when fishing in surf, from piers, or aboard boats in rough conditions. The hydrophobic line roller bearing sheds water to maintain smooth line flow.

Progressive carbon fiber drag

Unlike larger Slammer IV sizes, the 2500 uses HT-100 carbon fiber drag washers that deliver smooth, consistent pressure across a wide range of settings. Bearing-supported for extra smoothness, the sealed drag system handles hard runs from sea trout, striped bass, and light inshore species with precision.
