The Penn Authority 2500 combines precision CNC-cut stainless steel gearing with fully submersible IPX8 sealing, delivering tournament-grade performance whether you're fishing freshwater creeks or saltwater flats.

Built to stay dry, even underwater

The IPX8-sealed body and spool keep water out of the internals even when submerged. Full metal construction—body, sideplate, and rotor—ensures long-term durability in harsh saltwater conditions. The sealed Slammer drag system with Dura-Drag delivers consistent stopping power up to 9 kg, while 13 stainless steel bearings (12+1) guarantee smooth retrieval under load.

Precision gearing for confident hooksets

CNC Gear Technology machines the main and pinion gears from stainless steel to exacting tolerances, eliminating flex and maximizing power transfer. The 5.7:1 gear ratio retrieves 64 cm per turn, balancing cranking speed with torque for medium-sized species. Leveline Slow Oscillation lays line evenly across the aluminum spool, preventing dig-in during hard fights. A spare Hypalon handle knob is included.
