The FTM Lifter Montage (lift rig) is a purpose-built ready-made trout rig designed to suspend buoyant baits precisely in the mid-water column of deep gravel pits and trout lakes.

Fish the Mid-Water Column with Confidence

Once cast, the lifter sinks to the bottom along a taut main line. You then pay out line slowly until the bait hangs at the exact depth you want above the lakebed — making it ideal wherever trout are holding off the bottom in deeper venues.

Simple Setup, Adjustable Every Cast

Thread the lifter onto your main line via its eye, followed by the oval buoyancy body. Add a rubber stopper, tie a loop at the end of your main line, and loop in a 40–70 cm trout leader. Slide the stopper down to the knot, attach a strongly buoyant bait such as a dough ball or wax worms with a float body, and you're ready. After casting, lay the rod with the tip pointing toward the rig — then adjust depth by releasing line from the reel.
