The FTM Forellenteig (trout paste) in the Garlic/Cadaver scent is a floating, highly mouldable paste designed to draw stillwater trout in with a penetrating, irresistible aroma. Whether you fish it static or on the move, this 50g pot covers both passive and active approaches.
The intense garlic and cadaver aroma disperses steadily through still water, creating a scent trail that reaches trout at distance. This dual-note combination is particularly effective when trout are deep or holding off the bottom, as the floating paste positions the bait right in the strike zone while the scent does the attracting work.
The paste's firm yet pliable texture means you can shape it for any presentation. For passive fishing, roll it into a ball around a size 6–8 hook, leaving just the hook point exposed at the edge. For active retrieves, mould it into a spinner or propeller shape around a size 4–6 hook so it rotates on the retrieve — adding vibration alongside the scent signal.
