The garlic/cadaver attractant profile is one of the most effective combinations for trout in still waters. The paste releases scent continuously in the water column, drawing fish in from a distance and triggering a feeding response even on slow days.
The floating paste works equally well fished statically or on the retrieve. For passive fishing, roll the paste into a ball around a size 6–8 hook, leaving the hook point just visible at the edge. For active retrieves, mould the paste into a spinner or propeller shape so it rotates as it is reeled in — hook sizes 4–6 are ideal for this technique. The buoyancy keeps the bait up in the strike zone in both setups.
