Optimum action is at 6–10 knots, while the self-centering Auto-Tune line tie maintains consistent action up to 15 knots. Plan around the optimum range rather than treating the maximum speed as the normal operating target.
SP130D measures 13 cm and 30 g with a 3.5–4.5 m running depth. SP160D measures 16 cm and 54 g with 3.5–5.5 m, while SP180D measures 18 cm and 74 g with 4.5–6 m. Choose by both the lure profile and the depth you want to cover, since the larger options are also heavier.
The supplier lists BL Tiger, Bonito, RH Silver, Pink and Sardine. These identify finishes, while length, weight and depth are tied to the model size. Check the selected variant rather than assuming every finish is documented in every size.
Inspect the VMC® Perma Steel® trebles, oval split rings and hook connections for damage before fishing. Sharp hooks require careful handling with pliers. Store the lure separately in a securely closed, dry tackle box to reduce tangling, injury risk and rust on the hooks.

The Williamson Speed Pro Deep is a trolling minnow for pelagic gamefish. Its patent-pending Auto-Tune system uses a freely moving, self-centering line tie to align the lure automatically and maintain consistent action at speeds up to 15 knots. Optimum action is at 6–10 knots, so this is the key speed range to consider when planning a trolling spread.
At 15 knots, the smooth swimming action allows the lure to be fished with lighter line and a light drag setting. The maximum supported speed is not the optimum speed, which remains 6–10 knots.
SP130D is 13 cm long, weighs 30 g and runs at 3.5–4.5 m. SP160D is 16 cm long, weighs 54 g and runs at 3.5–5.5 m. SP180D is 18 cm long, weighs 74 g and runs at 4.5–6 m. Choose the smaller profile for the shallower stated range, the middle size for a wider depth range, or the largest profile for the deepest stated range. Increasing size also increases lure weight.
The documented finishes are BL Tiger, Bonito, RH Silver, Pink and Sardine. These are colour options, not claims of different swimming action. Check the selected variant's specifications, since not every listed item has a supplied size or colour.
Heavy-duty oval split rings connect the hook hardware, which includes VMC® Heavy-Duty Perma Steel® trebles and laser-cut stainless-steel plate hook hangers. These reinforced components are intended for the demands of pelagic gamefish.
Inspect hooks, rings and connections before each use, and do not fish with damaged components. Use pliers when attaching or removing the lure, keep sharp hooks away from people and clothing, and store the lure in a separate, securely closed, dry tackle box. Keep it away from unsupervised children and pets. Use it only for fishing where local regulations permit.
