KG is WFT's designation for their high-performance braided line series. It indicates the line meets exacting standards for tight braiding, even dyeing, and consistent strength across the whole spool.
Color bands repeat at fixed intervals (10m for fine diameters, 25m for heavier ones). Watching the colors peel off the spool lets you estimate how far you have cast, how deep your rig has sunk, and roughly how much line remains on the reel.
