KG 8 can be used with spinning reels and baitcasting or multiplier reels in freshwater and saltwater. The supplier names lure fishing for zander, perch and pike, cod pirking and sea trout fishing, so you can select a diameter for those setups without changing line families.
The stated diameter and breaking-strain pairs are 0.08 mm/9 kg, 0.10 mm/13 kg, 0.12 mm/15 kg, 0.14 mm/19 kg, 0.16 mm/22 kg and 0.18 mm/24 kg. Choose the smaller diameters for a thinner line or the larger ones for greater stated strength. Every version remains green, eight-strand and 150 m long.
Yes, the supplier highlights high abrasion resistance and knot strength for rivers with strong currents, obstacles and stone banks, as well as rocky sea-fishing grounds. Those are supported uses, but abrasion resistance does not mean the line is immune to damage, so choose the diameter and stated breaking strain for your setup.
Each version includes 150 m of green braided line in the selected diameter. Length does not change with breaking strain, so compare the same 150 m supply against the line capacity of the reel you plan to fill.

WFT KG 8 is a green, tightly woven eight-strand braided main line for freshwater and saltwater fishing. It passes through the rod guides almost silently and supports long, accurate casts when spinning. Every version supplies 150 m of line.
The line can be used with spinning reels and baitcasting or multiplier reels. Supported uses include lure fishing for zander, perch and pike, pirking for cod and sea trout fishing, so the same line family covers both inland predator fishing and sea fishing.
High breaking strain is combined with high knot strength and abrasion resistance. These properties matter when spinning in rivers with strong currents, obstacles and stone banks, or fishing over rocky seabeds, where the line may encounter abrasive surfaces.
The six versions differ in diameter and stated breaking strain. Colour, length and eight-strand construction remain the same.
| Diameter | Breaking strain | | --- | --- | | 0.08 mm | 9 kg | | 0.10 mm | 13 kg | | 0.12 mm | 15 kg | | 0.14 mm | 19 kg | | 0.16 mm | 22 kg | | 0.18 mm | 24 kg |
Choose 0.08 mm when the smallest diameter in this family is the priority. The 0.10, 0.12 and 0.14 mm versions provide progressively higher breaking strains at intermediate diameters. The 0.16 and 0.18 mm versions offer the highest stated breaking strains, with the trade-off of a thicker line. Match this balance to your setup and required strength rather than selecting by target fish alone. Each version includes 150 m of green braid in the selected diameter.
