Yes. Removing the Comfort-Butt cap exposes the gimbal butt for a fighting belt. The safety cord and carabiner retain the cap during removal, allowing you to change support during a fight.
It is designed for offshore pirking and natural-bait fishing for cod, halibut, ling and saithe, including Norway and Iceland. Both versions share this use, so select between them by the stated weight range.
Both 210 cm rods split into two sections and have a transport length of 123 cm. Plan your transport space around that length regardless of the version selected.

The WFT 68° North Comfort Butt LTC boat rod is designed for pirking and natural-bait fishing for cod, halibut, ling and saithe, including trips to Norway and Iceland. The short distance between the screw reel seat and gimbal butt lets you brace the rod against your forearm while working a pirk or playing a fish.
Remove the Comfort-Butt end cap to place the exposed gimbal butt in a fighting belt when a large fish takes. A safety cord with a carabiner keeps the cap attached so it cannot fall away during removal. The long foam foregrip gives you room to find a comfortable hand position for pirking, bait fishing and fighting fish.
The slim carbon-fibre blank has a strong backbone and power reserves for large halibut. SIC (silicon carbide) guides sit in stainless-steel frames. Their deeply seated inserts help protect them against knocks and drops.
Both versions are 210 cm long with two sections and a transport length of 123 cm. The 30lbs version is rated at 200-600g and weighs 560 g without the 125 g Comfort Butt. The 50lbs version extends the rating to 200-1000g and weighs 580 g without the same cap. Choose the 50lbs version when you need the higher weight range, accepting 20 g more rod weight. The 30lbs version covers the lower range with less rod weight.
Each purchase includes one sea fishing rod in the selected weight rating, with Comfort Butt.
