Westin recommends a size 2500 to 4000 spinning reel for balance and performance. Choose within that range to pair with your selected sea trout rod.
All versions have two sections. Transport lengths are 133, 148, 150, 162 and 165 cm for the 243, 270, 275, 300 and 305 cm rods respectively. Check that length against your storage space. A neoprene rod bag and recyclable triangular cardboard box are included.

The W8 SPIN 2ND spinning rods are designed for sea trout fishing on the coast. Their light, sensitive Toray® Torayca® T1100GC & M40JB blanks provide feedback for lure control while retaining strength for playing fish. Each blank is individually strength tested before release.
The 243 cm ML (medium light), 5–25 g version weighs 115 g and packs down to 133 cm. It is the shortest and lightest option. The 270 cm ML, 5–25 g version provides more length at 130 g, with a transport length of 148 cm.
For 7–30 g lures, choose between the 275 cm M (medium) at 140 g with a 150 cm transport length and the 300 cm M at 147 g with a 162 cm transport length. The longer option retains the same lure rating but needs more storage space.
The 305 cm MH (medium heavy), 10–40 g version is intended for larger lures and more demanding conditions. It weighs 160 g and packs down to 165 cm. Its higher upper casting weight comes with a higher minimum lure weight than the ML and M versions. All five rods have two sections.
Westin recommends a size 2500 to 4000 spinning reel for balance and performance. The Fuji® T2C carbon reel seat holds the reel, while tangle-free Fuji® SIC guides help keep line running cleanly. AAAA-grade cork grips provide a comfortable hold and a classic finish. The blank colour is FE2O3 iron oxide.
A custom-designed 360° screw-down carbon hood and Seaguide® Arc Hook 2.5 hook keeper complete the fittings. The keeper provides a place to secure the hook between fishing spots. Each rod has a unique serial number and comes with a neoprene rod bag and recyclable triangular cardboard box for storage and transport.
