Choose 40–130 g for the lighter lure range in this family, or 60–180 g when your pike lures need the higher upper limit. The rods weigh 178 g and 185 g respectively. Both are 233 cm and two-piece, so the lure-weight range is the main selection point rather than rod length.
Westin recommends a size 300 Westin BaitCaster reel. These are baitcasting rods with Fuji® T2C carbon reel seats, so use that baitcasting setup as your reference rather than a fixed-spool spinning reel.
Both are intended for pike lure fishing from either boat or bank. The ultra-fast lightweight blanks transmit lure movement, and the sensitive tips retain feel when playing smaller pike. Choose the casting range to suit your lures in either setting.
Allow for a 128 cm transport length for either two-section rod. A neoprene rod bag is included, and the rod is supplied in a recyclable triangular cardboard box. Check the 128 cm length against your storage or vehicle space before choosing how to carry it.

The Westin W8 Powercast-T 2nd casting rods are designed for pike lure fishing from boat or bank. Their lightweight, ultra-fast Toray® Torayca® T1100GC & M40JB blanks transmit lure movement, helping you follow your lure during the retrieve. The combination of power and a sensitive tip is intended to handle large pike while still making smaller fish enjoyable to play.
Both versions are 233 cm long and have two sections. The 40–130 g version weighs 178 g and accommodates lighter lures within this family. The 60–180 g version weighs 185 g and extends the upper casting limit for heavier pike lures, but starts at a higher minimum lure weight. Choose by your lure weights rather than length, as both rods share the same length and 128 cm transport length.
Westin recommends a size 300 Westin BaitCaster reel. A Fuji® T2C carbon reel seat and a custom-designed 360° screw-down carbon hood hold the reel in place. Tangle-free Fuji® SIC guides help reduce line tangles during casting, while the Seaguide® Arc Hook 2.5 hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between fishing spots.
The blank has an FE2O3 iron oxide finish, and each rod carries a unique serial number for individual identification. The two-section construction reduces the 233 cm fishing length to 128 cm for transport.
