These second-generation spinning rods are designed for shads and jigheads, primarily for zander from shore or boat. They also suit big perch and pike in freshwater, in both current and still water. The extra-fast action supports long casts and positive hooksets, while the sensitive tip reveals lure movement, delicate bites and contact with structure.
The 40T+T1100 Torayca® High Performance Carbon blank combines power with low weight. Its balanced construction and Westin 3C-Carbon Handle (Close Contact Carbon) provide direct feedback when working soft lures. A Fuji KSKSS16/ASH reel seat secures the reel, and Fuji® SiC guides carry the line. The Seaguide® TiDHOOK#4 hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between fishing spots.
Both 254 cm and 274 cm versions come in ML with a 7–28 g casting range and M with a 14–49 g range. Choose ML for lighter presentations within its range or M when the lure setup requires the higher casting rating. Both lengths are intended for shore and boat use. The 254 cm rods offer the shorter handling and transport format, while the 274 cm versions provide more reach but need more room.
