It is designed as an all-round braided main line for lure fishing, including softbaits and hardbaits. Its tight, round weave and Dura-Coating reduce surface friction for smooth casting, including with light lures. Select the diameter and stated breaking strain to suit your setup rather than treating all variants as interchangeable.
Stated breaking strain increases from 3.7 kg at 0.08 mm to 24.9 kg at 0.33 mm. The intermediate values are listed in the selection table, along with PE size. A thicker version offers more stated strength but takes up more reel-spool space for the same length, so compare both diameter and strength before choosing.
Choose by the amount of line you need. The 135 m spool is available in all eleven diameters, while 1500 m supplies more line for repeated fills but is limited to the six diameters from 0.08 to 0.205 mm. At the same diameter, both lengths have the same stated breaking strain and PE size.
The gel coating creates a smooth, water-repellent surface, reducing water absorption and friction for longer, more accurate casts. A final dura-coat also seals the oven-fixed pigment for colour stability and improved longevity. These treatments apply to both spool lengths, so coating is not a difference you need to choose between.

Westin W6 8-BRAID is an eight-carrier braided main line for all-round lure fishing with softbaits and hardbaits. Its round profile, tight weave and Dura-Coating create a smooth surface for longer, more accurate casts, including with light lures. All versions come in LIME PUNCH, a lime-green colour. The line is suitable for freshwater predator fishing and sea fishing.
Premium Japanese UHMPE (Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene) fibres provide strength at small diameters. The Advanced High PIC construction uses 36 weaves per inch to improve abrasion resistance, line strength and knot strength. Its tightly woven, round profile also provides the smooth surface needed for casting.
The Dura-Coating gel process produces a hydrophobic surface that reduces water absorption and friction, supporting casting distance and accuracy. The line is dyed in tanks, oven-cured to fix the pigment and finally sealed with a dura-coat for colour stability and improved longevity.
The 135 m version is available in every diameter below. The 1500 m version is available from 0.08 to 0.205 mm and provides more line for repeated reel fills. Choose length according to the amount needed, then compare diameter and stated breaking strain against your setup. Within this family, higher breaking strain comes with a larger diameter, so extra strength requires more spool space for the same length.
