Choose ML 5–25 g for the lightest lure range, M 7–30 g for the middle range or MH 10–40 g for heavier lures. ML is available at 270 cm, M at 240, 270 and 300 cm, and MH at 270 and 300 cm, so match the lure weight before choosing length.

The Westin W4 Spin 2nd spinning rods suit active lure fishing while wading, from the bank or from a boat, including sea-trout fishing. The second-generation blank uses upgraded Torayca® fibres and resin with a revised construction to improve casting distance and feedback. Its progressive Medium/Fast action cushions head shakes and jumps during the fight.
The 240 cm M (medium) version is rated 7–30 g and offers the shortest rod and transport length in the family. The 270 cm models give you three choices: ML (medium light) at 5–25 g for the lightest lure range, M at 7–30 g, or MH (medium heavy) at 10–40 g for heavier lures. The 300 cm models come in M 7–30 g and MH 10–40 g, combining the longest reach with the longest packed length. Choose the casting range to match your lures, then the rod length to suit your fishing space and transport needs. The rods are intended for artificial lures, including softbaits and hardbaits within the chosen rating.
Tangle-free Seaguide® XOG guides with LS rings help limit line tangles during casting. A rubber-coated Fuji® TVS reel seat and premium cork handle provide the contact points for casting and playing fish in changing weather. The Torayca® blank is reinforced with 1K woven carbon. All versions have a black and cork-coloured finish.
Every version separates into two sections. Transport lengths are 126 cm for the 240 cm rod, 141 cm for the 270 cm rods and 157 cm for the 300 cm rods. A D-ring hook keeper holds the hook between fishing spots, and fish measurement marks on the blank provide a reference at the water.
