These casting rods are designed for fishing large softbaits for pike with a baitcasting or multiplier reel. A softer tip and powerful Torayca® High Performance Carbon blank combine sensitivity with the backbone needed to set hooks and control fish. The fast progressive action retains bite feedback when fishing heavy lures.
Although developed for softbaits, the rods also handle hardbaits, including jerks, spinnerbaits and other heavy predator lures within the chosen casting-weight range. The Fuji® ACS Trigger reel seat supports the baitcasting setup, while SeaGuide® LS-XQ guides carry the line.
The blank is reinforced with 1k woven carbon. An UltraGrip handle in high-quality EVA provides the grip, complemented by a custom non-slip rubber bottom cap. The D-Hook hook keeper gives you a place to secure the hook between casts.
The 218 cm XXH version is rated for 50–150 g and has a net weight of 296 g. Choose it for the shorter rod and lower casting-weight range. The 255 cm 3XH version covers 60–180 g with a net weight of 321 g, accepting heavier lures at the cost of greater length and weight. The 255 cm version is explicitly described for boat and bank fishing. Both rods have two sections. Transport lengths are 113 cm for the 218 cm version and 133 cm for the 255 cm version, making the shorter model easier to accommodate in limited storage space.
