They are designed primarily for trout in rivers and lakes using small spinners, spoons and soft lures. The fast action supports accurate casting, while the sensitive tip helps detect light bites. Choose lures within 5–25 g for the 244 cm version or 7–30 g for the longer versions.
The 244 cm ML version is the shortest and lightest at 140 g and accepts lures down to 5 g. The 274 cm M version weighs 155 g and adds reach with a 7–30 g rating. The 305 cm M version offers the greatest reach at 177 g, but has the same 7–30 g rating as the 274 cm rod, not a higher one.
All three are four-section rods with EVA handles. Transport lengths are 65 cm for the 244 cm rod, 73 cm for the 274 cm rod and 81 cm for the 305 cm rod. Choose according to the packed space available, and do not confuse these versions with Westin's cork-handled two-section models.

The W3 Spin 3rd Generation spinning rods are designed for trout fishing in rivers and lakes with small spinners, spoons and soft lures. Their lightweight Torayca® High Performance Carbon blanks combine a fast, responsive action for accurate casting with sensitive tips that register light bites. A strong backbone supports firm hook-sets and control during the fight.
The 244 cm version has ML (medium-light) power and a 5–25 g casting range. It is the shortest and lightest option at 140 g, with a 65 cm transport length, and accommodates lighter lures than the two M (medium) versions.
The 274 cm version is rated 7–30 g and weighs 155 g, with a 73 cm transport length. It adds reach over the 244 cm rod and allows heavier lures, but its casting range starts at 7 g rather than 5 g.
The 305 cm version retains the M power and 7–30 g casting range, weighs 177 g and packs to 81 cm. Choose it for the greatest reach in this family, accepting greater weight and a longer packed length without an increase in casting weight over the 274 cm version.
All three also cover small-lure perch fishing. The supplier lists zander use for the 244 and 305 cm versions, including jigging for the latter, and sea trout use for the 305 cm version. Match lure weight to the selected rod rather than treating the longer version as a heavier-rated rod.
Every version here has four sections and a high-quality EVA handle, rather than the cork used on the two-section models described by Westin. The short packed lengths make transport easier, while the balanced design and comfortable grip support repeated casting.
A Carbon SKS-LS reel seat holds the reel, and Seaguide® TUXOLSG guides route the line along the blank. The supplier also describes the 274 cm version's guides as seawater-resistant. A Seaguide® TUHOOK#4 hook keeper provides a dedicated place to secure the hook between fishing spots. The sensitive tip and strong backbone remain the key combination for detecting delicate takes and controlling hooked fish.
