The W3 Finesse Ned 3rd Generation is a freshwater spinning rod designed specifically for Ned-rig fishing with small softbaits. Its lightweight, highly sensitive Torayca® High Performance Carbon blank transmits lure movements and subtle takes, helping you control delicate presentations when waters are heavily fished and predators are reluctant to bite.
The fast yet forgiving action supports precise lure movements without making the rod unforgiving. Feedback during twitches, pauses and takes is central to its finesse-focused design. Westin names perch, bass and zander as target species. Small-softbait fishing for pike is also mentioned in the supplier evidence, within the selected variant's casting-weight range.
Both versions are 221 cm (7'3") long and have two sections. Choose the L version for 3–15 g presentations and a rod weight of 108 g. The M version covers 6–20 g and weighs 116 g. It accommodates heavier presentations at the cost of 8 g more rod weight and a higher minimum casting weight. Their ranges overlap from 6 to 15 g, so the main distinction is whether your setup needs the lighter lower end or the heavier upper end.
The EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) handle provides the gripping surface for controlled lure work. A Carbon SKS-LS reel seat holds the reel, and EUKTLTSG guides carry the line along the blank. A Seaguide® TUHOOK#4 hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between fishing spots.
