Constructed from premium Japanese UHMPE (Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene) fibres in an 8-carrier configuration with 32 interweaves per inch, the W3 delivers exceptional roundness, reduced surface friction, and outstanding abrasion resistance — exactly what you need when fishing over rocks, sand, and structure.

Double Dura-Coating for Stiffness and Long-Lasting Colour

Repeated casting into strong onshore winds can cause wind knots in softer braids. The W3's Double Dura-Coating gel process adds controlled stiffness to counter this, while also creating a smooth, hydrophobic surface that repels water and reduces friction through the guides. Colour pigments are locked in by soaking in dye tanks and oven-curing before the double gel seal is applied, giving the Smokey Grey its excellent, lasting colour stability.
