The W2 Boat rods are built for demanding saltwater boat fishing, from conger at wrecks to halibut on lures and cod on light pirks. Their 24 / 30 tonne High Performance Carbon blanks combine strength and sensitivity, with an action intended for hard-fighting fish and balance for handling heavy lures over long sessions.
Both versions are 195 cm long with three sections. The MH is rated 50–150 g and 8–12 lbs and weighs 263 g, making it the choice for lighter lures within this family. The H covers 100–250 g and 12–20 lbs at 272 g, extending the upper lure limit for a 9 g increase in rod weight. Choose by the lure weight and line class you need. Supplier use cases also include coalfish for the MH and herring for the H.
A Seaguide® DPS reel seat holds the reel, while Seaguide® SXEOG premium guides route the line. The premium EVA handle provides a comfortable grip during lure work and fights. Both models include the specially designed Comfort Cross Gimbal (CCG).
The three-section construction reduces transport length to 73 cm on both versions, so choosing the heavier rating does not increase packed length.
