Westin Stanley the Stickleback Shadtail: supple baitfish action for perch and zander

The Westin Stanley the Stickleback Shadtail is a stickleback-shaped softbait for active perch and zander fishing. Its extra-soft material allows the body to move freely, while the paddle tail provides movement during the retrieve. The near-lifelike eyes (active eyes) add detail to the baitfish imitation.

Drop-shot, jigging and finesse fishing

The lure is suitable for drop-shot fishing, jigging and finesse presentations. It also suits a simple lift-and-drop retrieve driven by turns of the reel handle, known as Faulenzen in German. This gives you a choice between a drop-shot presentation and working the lure on a jig head. The supplier states that it can be used in both freshwater and saltwater.

Choose the colour, keep the same size

All five colours share a length of 9 cm and a weight of 7 g: Fireflake, Lively Roach, Headlight, Spawning Stickleback and Pearl Stickleback. Colour is the variant difference, so changing colour does not change the stated size or weight. No colour-specific fishing conditions are specified.

Pack contents

Each pack contains five softbaits in the selected colour, giving you replacements of the same size and pattern.

Frequently asked

Which fish and techniques is this lure intended for?

It is intended for perch and zander, with drop-shot, jigging, finesse fishing and a reel-driven lift-and-drop retrieve all supported. You can therefore choose a drop-shot presentation or work it on a jig head for the same stated target fish.

How do the colour variants differ, and how many lures are included?

Each pack contains five 9 cm, 7 g softbaits in one selected colour: Fireflake, Lively Roach, Headlight, Spawning Stickleback or Pearl Stickleback. Choose the colour without changing size or weight. The supplier does not specify different uses for individual colours.

Can I use it in saltwater as well as freshwater?

Yes, the supplier explicitly supports both freshwater and saltwater use. You do not need a different lure version solely for the water type, although perch and zander are the specifically named target fish and no saltwater species are specified.
