The original SKRUEN has been one of the most productive sea trout lures on Danish coasts and harbours for decades. With its enticing movement in the water and distinctive rotation at spin-stops, it triggers strikes from fish that can't resist. The SKRUEN fishes beautifully on steady retrieves and excels with frequent spin-stop pauses—a proven technique for sea trout on the coast.
Handpainted in authentic colors, the SKRUEN's spoon body creates a compelling wobbling action during retrieve and rotates around its axis during spin-stops, often triggering aggressive takes. Its balanced design and casting weight make it ideal for long-distance coastal casting.
Each SKRUEN comes rigged with either a treble hook (#8 for trout, #2 for sea trout) on a split-ring. A 0.4 mm fluorocarbon leader is recommended to protect against abrasion and provide a natural presentation in clear coastal waters.
Offered in three weights—10g (5.1 cm), 15g (5.9 cm), and 20g (7.6 cm)—with eight proven color patterns. Lighter versions suit shallow bays and calm conditions; heavier sizes cut through wind and reach deeper holding areas.
