SANDY ANDY JIG 32G 14CM BROWN ABALONE #4/0 1+2PCS
incl. VAT, excl.
The Sandy Andy is widely regarded as one of the most convincing sand eel (sandeel) imitations available for saltwater anglers. At 14 cm and 32 g, this Brown Abalone version hits a sweet spot for sea bass, cod, and seatrout in nearshore and estuarine environments where sandeels are a primary forage.
Every Sandy Andy is hand-painted with durable, naturalistic colours that hold up to repeated saltwater use. The active 3D eyes add a subtle but effective trigger point, catching light with each direction change and giving the lure a genuinely lifelike presence in the water column.
The pre-moulded jighead is shaped like a fish head, giving the lure a compact, natural profile. It's fitted with an ultra-sharp Japanese-style single hook (#4/0) sized precisely for the 14 cm body. The soft body is designed to be replaced independently of the jighead, so wear and damage don't mean replacing the whole lure. Each pack contains one jighead and two replacement bodies, extending your value per purchase.
The Sandy Andy range spans six sizes and a wide colour palette to match conditions and target species across all saltwater scenarios. Choose size and colour based on depth, current, target species, and local baitfish.
10 cm / 12 g – #1/0 – Light inshore, calm conditions; ideal for seatrout and small bass in shallow water or light current
13 cm / 22 g – #3/0 – Versatile inshore size for sea bass and seatrout; works well in moderate tidal flow
14 cm / 32 g – #4/0 – Brown Abalone – Compact but castable; well-suited to bass, cod, and seatrout in nearshore and estuarine environments; effective on jigging and steady retrieve
15 cm / 42 g – #5/0 – Steps up for stronger currents or when fish are feeding on slightly larger baitfish
17 cm / 62 g – #6/0 – Mid-range offshore capability; good all-rounder for cod and pollack from rocks or boat
19 cm / 82 g – #7/0 – Deeper water and stronger tidal runs; targets larger cod and bass
22 cm / 122 g – #8/0 – Boat fishing in depth or fast current; serious cod, pollack, and ling territory
23 cm / 150 g – #9/0 – Deep offshore jigging; heavy current and large predator focus
28 cm / 300 g – #10/0 – Maximum depth and drift scenarios; targets the largest demersal species
Colour – Brown Abalone: A natural, muted tone with subtle iridescence; effective in clear to lightly coloured water and bright conditions
