Jighead mounting is the recommended setup, especially for perch. The 7 cm roach imitation is also described as suitable for pike, zander and trout, so it is not restricted to perch fishing.
Only the colour pattern changes across the nine variants. Every pack contains five 7 cm softbaits, so you can choose a colour without changing lure size or pack quantity. The supplier does not specify conditions favouring particular colours.
No, the described swimming action is lively, aggressive and erratic rather than subtle. The paddle tail and realistic fins generate movement while stabilising the body, making it an active roach imitation rather than a passive presentation.

The Westin Ricky the Roach is a 7 cm softbait for jighead fishing, particularly for perch, with pike, zander and trout also named as target fish. Its roach shape imitates a favourite prey fish of perch, while the easy action paddle tail produces a lively, aggressive swimming action.
The lure has an erratic, changeable swimming action. The paddle tail and realistic fins create movement while keeping the body stable, combining an active presentation with a recognisable fish profile. Realistic eyes (active eyes) and the lifelike design (Life-Like-Lure) complete the roach imitation.
The supplier recommends mounting the lure on a jighead for perch fishing and also identifies it as suitable for pike, zander and trout. This makes it a choice for anglers seeking a small fish imitation for these species.
The family comprises Motoroil Goldfarben, Sparkling Grey, Alabama, Firetiger, Headlight, Ruffe, Crazy Firetiger, Fireflake and Confused Tomato. Every colour has the same 7 cm length and comes in a pack of five softbaits, so the choice between variants is the colour pattern rather than size or quantity. No colour-specific fishing conditions are stated.
