Each retail pack contains one ready-rigged kit with a wire trace, semi-barbed hooks, a PVC float and adjustable weights. The float's inner tube accepts the main line, and a reinforced metal sleeve at its upper end protects the line. You can thread on the float without assembling the trace from separate parts.

The Westin Pike Float Kit Semi Barbed is a pre-assembled float rig for presenting deadbaits and pieces of fish to pike. It combines a steel wire trace, semi-barbed hooks, a strong PVC float and adjustable weights, so you do not need to build the trace yourself. The kit is also described for freshwater zander fishing in rivers and lakes, with bait presented near the bottom or in midwater.
The high-visibility antenna makes the float easy to watch for bites. An inner tube lets you thread the main line through the float, while a reinforced metal sleeve at the top of the tube protects the line at this contact point. Adjustable weights let you adjust the weighting of the presentation. A transparent, water-green camouflage finish and camo crimp sleeves keep the rig unobtrusive in the water.
Both versions have a 50 cm trace made from 0.32 mm, seven-strand steel wire, specified as 1X7 with a strength rating of 14 kg (30 lbs). Strong, sharp semi-barbed hooks hold the bait. The steel trace and float are supplied ready rigged, with one rig per retail pack.
Choose by the hook sizes needed for your bait presentation. The #6+#8 version has smaller hooks and a net kit weight of 30 g. The #4+#6 version has larger hooks and a net kit weight of 40 g. Both retain the same trace length, diameter, construction and strength rating, so changing hook sizes does not change those trace specifications.
