It is intended for freshwater pike and zander. Its Slow Sinking behaviour and moving dressing suit slow retrieves in shallow margins, along reed edges and over structure. For zander at drop-offs or current edges, an added weight allows a deeper presentation.
Yes, the additional eyelet accepts a Switch-Weight for deeper and faster retrieves. A heavy added weight also allows jigging along drop-offs. Without extra weight, the supplied slow-sinking setup is intended for slow, shallow-water retrieves, and no fixed running depth is stated.
Yes, the integrated split ring lets you replace the size 6/0 single hook with a shallow-running softbait setup, for example a Westin BullTeez with a stinger. This gives you a different presentation using the same head. The stated pack contents are one lure with its single hook, not a complete softbait conversion kit.
They differ in colour only: Fire, Firetiger, Gold Rain, Odinlight, Motoroil Blood and Silverbite. Each is 22 cm long, weighs 44 g and has Slow Sinking behaviour, so colour selection does not change those specifications. No colour-specific conditions are supplied, and each pack contains one selected colour.
The Westin Volume Disc keeps the body voluminous when wet, maintaining its silhouette during use. The material mixture helps reduce hook tangling, but the size 6/0 hook remains concealed in the dressing, so unpack it carefully rather than treating the soft material as hook-free.
For pike, the supplier recommends a steel leader to prevent bite-offs. Strong fluorocarbon is given as an alternative for zander. Choose the leader for the intended species rather than treating the zander alternative as the stated pike recommendation.

The Westin Monsterfly is a 22 cm, 44 g spin fly for freshwater pike and zander fishing. Its Slow Sinking behaviour suits a slow, steady retrieve in shallow water, while the golf-ball-textured ABS head creates turbulence and bubbles. Bucktail, broad glitter tinsel, rubber strands and synthetic fibres keep moving even at low retrieve speeds, offering a different presentation when conventional softbaits or wobblers attract little interest.
Fish it straight from the pack with a slow, steady retrieve just below the surface. Shallow margins, reed edges and underwater structure are intended pike locations, while drop-offs and current edges are intended zander locations. For a deeper, faster presentation, fit a Switch-Weight to the additional eyelet. A heavy added weight also allows jigging along drop-offs, so depth and retrieve can be adapted without changing the lure body.
The supplied custom-made size 6/0 carbon-steel single hook sits concealed in the body and becomes exposed on a bite. The integrated split ring lets you replace that hook with a shallow-running softbait setup, such as a Westin BullTeez with a stinger. The additional eyelet also accommodates an alternative hook. For pike, the supplier recommends a steel leader to prevent bite-offs. Strong fluorocarbon is an alternative for zander.
The Westin Volume Disc maintains the body's volume and silhouette when wet. The broad tinsel, rubber strands and bucktail mixture helps reduce hook tangling in the dressing. The lead-free head contains stainless-steel balls and a continuous 1.4 mm wire. Take care when unpacking, as the size 6/0 hook is hidden within the material.
Choose from Fire, Firetiger, Gold Rain, Odinlight, Motoroil Blood and Silverbite. All six versions are 22 cm long, weigh 44 g and have Slow Sinking behaviour, so the choice is colour rather than a different size or sink rate. No colour-specific water conditions are supplied. Each pack contains one lure in the selected colour with the single hook included.
