The Westin Magic Minnow Jig combines a jighead with a soft paddle-tail shad for sea bass, cod and other marine fish. Its weedless design hides the hook in the body to reduce snagging, making it suitable for fishing through kelp or close to steep rocky shores.
You can fish it from shore or boat, retrieve it slowly or quickly, or work it with a jigging presentation. The soft rubber compound provides flexibility, and the shad has a widening paddle tail. This combination allows you to vary the retrieve without changing lure model.
A very sharp wide-gap offset hook sits concealed in the soft body, which has hook slots on its back and belly. This arrangement reduces snag risk around vegetation and rocks, but does not make the lure snag-proof. The quick-change system lets you replace the shad body quickly while keeping the jighead.
