It is designed for deadbaits and pieces of fish when fishing for freshwater predators such as pike and zander. The bait-fixing loop and twin trebles secure the bait for long casts, making it suited to presenting natural bait at distance.
Each rig has two matching trebles, either #4, #6 or #8. Size #4 is largest and #8 smallest, with #6 between them. Choose the hook size to suit your bait, as all versions share the same 65 cm length, 14 kg rating and seven-strand steel construction.
No, these rigs are specified as semi-barbed rather than fully barbless. If your venue requires completely barbless hooks, do not treat the Semi Barbed designation as confirmation that this rig meets that rule.
One complete 65 cm rig is supplied with two trebles in the selected size, seven-strand steel wire rated at 14 kg (30 lbs), a bait-fixing loop and camouflage crimp sleeves. The paired hook sizes describe the two hooks on that one rig, not two separate rigs.

The Westin Long-Cast Rig Semi Barbed is a ready-made steel trace for fishing with deadbaits and pieces of fish. Its twin trebles and dedicated bait-fixing loop secure the bait for long casts when targeting freshwater predators such as pike and zander.
The loop fixing holds the baitfish for casting, while two extra-strong, ultra-sharp treble hooks provide the hook arrangement. These traces are designed to improve bait presentation and hook-up rates, particularly on heavily fished waters. This family is the Semi Barbed version, not a fully barbless rig.
Each rig uses 1X7 seven-strand steel wire rated at 14 kg (30 lbs). The abrasion-resistant wire forms the trace, while camouflage crimp sleeves keep the connections discreet for a less conspicuous presentation. All three versions are 65 cm long and have a net weight of 10 g.
Choose between paired #4, #6 or #8 trebles. The #4 pair is the largest option, #6 is intermediate and #8 is the smallest, so match the hook size to your chosen bait. Length, wire construction, strength rating and loop fixing remain the same across the family. Each pack contains one complete rig.
