The Westin Greedy Worm is a 5.5 cm soft worm imitation for trout and perch, especially at put-and-take trout fisheries. Its super-soft body imitates a live worm's appearance, movement and texture, with lifelike body spikes adding to its profile. The floating material lets you switch between active retrieves and passive presentations near the bottom.
Twitch the lure, retrieve it steadily or fish it passively on a bottom setup. It can be used with tungsten hooks, a Cheburashka, a trout blade or a bombarda float. Ned rigs, drop-shot rigs and wacky presentations are also supported, so you can choose your setup around the way you want to present the worm rather than a fixed rig. The material floats, but the assembled rig's position depends on the tackle you use.
Every variant is 5.5 cm long and supplied as eight lures. Choose from Chartreuse/Pink, White/Chartreuse, Baby Blue/White, Orange/Black, Pink/Black and Orange/Yellow. Each colour is available with either banana oil or garlic/cheese oil, letting you change scent without changing size or colour. The range has strong ultraviolet (UV) colours, and the scented oil adds an attractant alongside the worm profile. No specific water-clarity preference or performance advantage is given for either scent, so these are colour and scent choices, not different lure sizes or rigging capabilities.
The soft material supports the subtle movements of a worm, while its buoyancy also makes it suitable for less active bottom presentations. Westin states that the material contains no toxic phthalates.
