It is designed for fishing downstream in rivers. The small French FC blade and the weight, head and body design provide the intended depth and presentation in current, with immediate blade action on the retrieve. Choose it for downstream presentation rather than relying on a stated fixed running depth, which is not supplied.
The 20, 25 and 30 g versions have size #4 hooks, while the 35 and 40 g versions have size #5 hooks. Choose the weight to suit your tackle and the current. Moving to 35 or 40 g also changes the supplied hook size, so compare both specifications when choosing a heavier version.
Each weight comes in Flouro Yellow, Flouro Orange, Black/Flouro Yellow or Black/Flouro Orange, each with a Copper Blade or Silver Blade. That gives eight combinations per weight, so you can change blade finish without changing the selected body colour or weight. No finish-specific water or light recommendation is supplied.
You receive one spinner in the selected version with two BKK hooks. The hook-change system requires no tools, allowing you to replace a hook without a tool for that job. The supplier does not identify the hook patterns, so the two supplied hooks should not be assumed to be a particular single-and-treble combination.
Yes. Westin specifies a lead-free, specially designed weight and non-toxic body materials. You can therefore select any weight or colour in this family without switching to a lead-weighted version.

The Westin FC Downstream is a spinner designed for fishing downstream in rivers. Its small French FC blade works with the specially designed weight, head and body to provide the intended depth and lure presentation in moving water. The blade starts working immediately, so the lure begins its action as soon as the retrieve starts. The supplier lists pike and perch fishing and describes use in salmon rivers.
Choose from 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 g. The 20–30 g versions have size #4 hooks, while the 35 and 40 g versions have size #5 hooks. Weight is the main choice within each hook-size group. A heavier version generally gives more scope to reach depth in current, while a lighter one carries less weight through the presentation. Match the selected weight to your tackle and the river conditions. No fixed running depth is specified.
Every weight is offered in Flouro Yellow or Flouro Orange, either on its own or combined with Black. Each body-colour option is available with a Copper Blade or Silver Blade, giving eight colour and blade combinations per weight. Select body colour and blade finish separately when comparing versions. The supplier does not specify particular water clarity or light conditions for these finishes.
Sharp BKK hooks and a tool-free hook-change system allow hook replacement without carrying a tool for that task. Each selected version is supplied as one spinner with two hooks. The body materials are non-toxic and the specially designed weight is lead-free, so the downstream design does not rely on a lead weight.
