Use a steady slow to medium retrieve. Westin recommends 1–5 m of water for this approach, while also describing use in deeper lakes and rivers. The zinc-core version can be fished more slowly and shallower than the tungsten version, making it an option when you want a slower presentation.
Body lengths are 2.6, 3.2, 3.4 and 3.7 cm, so you can choose a smaller or larger profile. Colours include perch patterns, Firetiger, Clear Olive, Headlight, Chart. Blue Craw, Gold Rush, Crystal, Black Mamba and Motoroil Burbot. Availability varies by size, and the supplier gives no colour-specific conditions, so check the individual size and colour combination.
Yes. Both shore and boat fishing in lakes and rivers are described. The compact, long-casting design supports reaching water from the bank, while the Colorado blade transmits vibration to the body during the retrieve. You do not need a boat to use this lure.
No. The supplier also describes jigging, vertical fishing, shallow and deep presentations, and fishing it over weed. It names perch, zander, pike, trout and asp as targets. Those options broaden how you can present the 3.2 cm lure, but the evidence does not describe weedless hooks or a weed guard.
You receive one lure in the selected variant, with carbon steel hooks, a Westin Colorado blade and an integrated ball-bearing swivel. This version has an internal zinc core, not a tungsten body. It is lead-free and its semi-soft body is free from toxic phthalates, so choose it for the slower, shallower presentation described for the zinc-core construction.

The Westin DropBite Spin Tail is a compact jigspinner for predator fishing in lakes and rivers, from shore or boat. Its internal zinc core is encapsulated in a semi-soft body. Compared with the tungsten version, this construction allows a slower retrieve and a shallower presentation. The custom-made Westin Colorado blade is anchored directly into the metallic core, amplifying vibrations in the body and producing a tight, erratic wobble.
Westin recommends a steady slow to medium retrieve in 1–5 m of water. The lure can also be used in deeper lakes and rivers, so that recommendation is not a fixed maximum depth. Its compact, long-casting design helps you reach water from the bank as well as cover water from a boat. The supplier also describes jigging, vertical fishing and presenting the 3.2 cm version over weed, giving that size alternatives to a steady retrieve. This does not establish weedless rigging.
The translucent moulded body accommodates three-dimensional colours, complemented by hand-painted detail and Active Eyes. The lure is lead-free, and the semi-soft body is free from toxic phthalates. Sharp, strong carbon steel hooks are supplied, along with an integrated ball-bearing swivel for the Colorado blade.
The family offers 2.6, 3.2, 3.4 and 3.7 cm bodies. Choose the body size and colour you want to present, and use the weight stated for the individual variant when matching your tackle. The 2.6 cm body is the smallest option, 3.2 and 3.4 cm provide intermediate sizes, and 3.7 cm is the largest. The 3.2 cm versions are 12 g. The 3.7 cm Bling Perch, Chartreuse Perch and Copper Perch versions are 22 g.
Colours across the family include Bling Perch, Clear Olive, Headlight, Firetiger, Chartreuse Perch, Copper Perch, Chart. Blue Craw, Gold Rush, Crystal, Black Mamba and Motoroil Burbot. Colour availability varies by size, and no colour-specific water or light conditions are specified. The supplier lists perch, zander, pike, trout and asp among the targets for the 3.2 cm version. Other sizes are described more generally for predators. Each purchase includes one lure in the selected variant.
