The VMC 8705 Dynacut Bay King / Offshore is a strong single hook for saltwater fishing for large predators such as tuna and marlin. Its ultra-sharp, straight Dynacut point is ready to fish without additional sharpening and is designed to penetrate hard jaws while resisting pressure during the hookset.
The steel construction and curved design provide strength under the loads of offshore fishing. The durable Dynacut point retains its sharpness, while the TI (tin) coating protects the steel against corrosion in saltwater. This protection does not replace inspection and dry storage. Check for rust, damage or bent points before use and replace damaged hooks.
The range comprises 8/0, 10/0 and 12/0. The listed weights are 16.8 g, 30.67 g and 51.67 g respectively. The 8/0 is the smallest and lightest option, the 10/0 is intermediate, and the 12/0 is the largest and heaviest. Choose by the hook size required for your bait and target fish, taking the increasing weight into account. All three share the same straight Dynacut point, steel construction and tin coating.
