The VMC 7316 Texan is a 1X strong wide gap offset hook designed for confident presentations with soft baits in heavy cover. Made from vanadium steel with a Black Nickel coating, it combines durability with a sharp Needle Cone point for dependable hooksets.
The wide gap profile of the 7316 accommodates bulky soft plastics such as creature baits, swim baits, and worms. The offset shank holds baits securely in a weedless Texas or Carolina rig setup, letting you fish through vegetation and around structure without constant snagging.
Forged from vanadium steel, this hook offers increased wire strength over standard gauge hooks. The 1X reinforcement provides a solid backbone when fighting hard-pulling predators like pike and perch without adding excessive weight.
