They connect artificial lures, particularly hardbaits, to hooks for predator fishing. Choose a ring whose diameter fits the attachment points and whose strength rating suits the expected load, rather than assuming every size fits every lure.
Compare diameter, strength and weight in the size table. The range runs from #1 at 5 mm and 6 kg to #9 at 12.5 mm and 25 kg. #4 and #5 both have a 12 kg rating and weigh 0.13 g, but measure 7 and 8 mm respectively, so fit can decide between them even when the required rating is the same.
No. The suppliers specify SS stainless steel coating but still instruct users to check for corrosion, wear, cracks and bent parts. Store the rings dry and replace damaged components before fishing.
Use suitable pliers for fitting and removal, as directed in the supplied safety guidance. Keep the rings in a dry compartmented box and away from unsupervised children and pets, since these small parts can be swallowed.

The VMC 3560 STAINLESS SPLIT RING series provides split rings for connecting artificial lures and hooks when predator fishing. Their sturdy design and SS (stainless steel) coating are shared across the range. Nine sizes let you match the connection to the lure hardware and the expected load.
Size numbers alone do not describe the fit. Compare the ring diameter with the lure and hook attachment points, then check the strength rating against the loads expected in your setup.
| Size | Ring diameter | Strength rating | Weight | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | #1 | 5 mm | 6 kg | 0.04 g | | #2 | 5.5 mm | 8 kg | 0.04 g | | #3 | 6 mm | 10 kg | 0.13 g | | #4 | 7 mm | 12 kg | 0.13 g | | #5 | 8 mm | 12 kg | 0.13 g | | #6 | 9 mm | 15 kg | 0.25 g | | #7 | 10 mm | 18 kg | 0.36 g | | #8 | 11.5 mm | 20 kg | 0.51 g | | #9 | 12.5 mm | 25 kg | 0.67 g |
Sizes #1 and #2 have the same listed weight but different diameters and ratings. Sizes #3, #4 and #5 also share a weight, while #4 and #5 share a 12 kg rating despite their different diameters. From #6 upward, diameter, weight and strength increase together. A higher-rated ring therefore also takes up more space and adds more weight, so choose for both fit and load rather than strength alone. Size #5 is supplied in a pack of 10 rings.
The stated finish is SS stainless steel coating. Use suitable pliers to fit or remove these small components. Check for wear, corrosion, cracks and deformation before use, and replace damaged rings rather than modifying them. Store the rings dry in a compartmented tackle box, protected from moisture. Keep small parts away from unsupervised children and pets because they can be swallowed. The product is intended only for fishing.
