It is designed for actively retrieving trout dough and waxworms at trout ponds and lakes. The float also supports static trout fishing, so you can use it for either moving or stationary bait presentations.
The difference is the float's buoyancy rating. Choose 2 g for lower rig loading or 5 g when more carrying capacity is needed. Both have the same stated uses and component types, and the rating does not specify the included sinker's weight.
Each set includes one trout float in the selected buoyancy rating, a float rubber, six rubber stops, a Tremarella lead weight and a triple swivel. The matched float and rig accessories are supplied in both versions, so the choice between them is based on buoyancy rather than accessory types.
The float's colour combination reduces the risk of spooking wary trout, while the triple swivel helps prevent line twist from strongly rotating baits. These features support active bait fishing without promising that every trout will remain undisturbed.
