They are designed for soft shads, soft jigs and other soft lures for sea fishing, particularly for cod, ling, pollack and saithe. Match the hook size to the size and shape of your lure.
Choose hook size for lure fit and weight for the lure, depth, current and fishing method. Sizes 4/0 and 6/0 offer 20–50 g and 30–80 g respectively, 8/0 offers 30–100 g, and 10/0 and 12/0 offer 50–150 g. Check the available combinations rather than assuming every weight is offered in every size.
Two wire keepers hold the soft lure and help prevent it from slipping during jigging or pirking. The strong, sharp Gamakatsu jig hook supports hooking and playing large sea fish, so choose its size to suit your lure.
Packs in sizes 4/0 and 6/0 contain three heads. Packs in sizes 8/0, 10/0 and 12/0 contain two, all in the selected size and weight, so compare pack quantities as well as specifications.

Spro Jighead HD lead jig heads are designed for soft shads, soft jigs and other soft lures when fishing at sea for cod, ling, pollack and saithe. Two wire keepers hold the lure on the hook and help prevent it from slipping during pirking or jigging, including when using large soft lures.
The strong, sharp Gamakatsu jig hooks support penetration and hold under load when playing large cod and other sea predators. Choose the hook size to suit the size and shape of your soft lure rather than selecting by head weight alone.
The range offers these combinations:
Hook size | Head weights | Heads per pack |
|---|---|---|
4/0 | 20, 30, 40, 50 g | 3 |
6/0 | 30, 40, 50, 80 g | 3 |
8/0 | 30, 50, 80, 100 g | 2 |
10/0 | 50, 80, 100, 150 g | 2 |
12/0 | 50, 80, 100, 150 g | 2 |
Match the weight to the lure, water depth, current and fishing method. Different weights on the same hook size let you adjust the loading without changing hook size. Greater depth or stronger current can call for more weight, while less demanding conditions allow a lighter head. No fixed depth rating is supplied for any weight.
Each pack contains jig heads in the selected size and weight. Sizes 4/0 and 6/0 contain three heads, while sizes 8/0, 10/0 and 12/0 contain two.
