SpiderWire Stealth® Smooth 12 Braid is a braided fishing line for predator lure fishing, including pike and perch. Twelve polyethylene (PE) fibres form a tightly woven, round braid that combines strength with sensitivity. Its smooth, thin and soft construction helps it pass quietly through the rod guides.
The soft weave makes the line supple to handle, while the supplier's stated high knot strength is relevant at the connection to your rig. The dense, round construction and smooth surface provide the quiet guide passage described for this line, a useful handling characteristic during repeated casts and retrieves.
All seven variants have the same 150 m length and Translucent colour. The differences are diameter and stated breaking strain: 0.06 mm with 5.4 kg, 0.07 mm with 6.0 kg, 0.09 mm with 7.5 kg, 0.11 mm with 10.3 kg, 0.15 mm with 16.5 kg, 0.19 mm with 18 kg, and 0.33 mm with 38.1 kg.
Choose the 0.06 mm or 0.07 mm version when a fine diameter is the priority. The 0.09 mm and 0.11 mm versions increase the stated breaking strain while retaining a fine diameter. The 0.15 mm and 0.19 mm versions offer higher breaking strains, while 0.33 mm provides the highest rating in this family. Moving to a stronger version also means accepting a larger diameter, so compare both figures against your setup rather than choosing by strength alone.
