Normal Shallow (NS) weighs 17 g and takes 4.3 seconds to sink one metre, while Normal Deep (ND) weighs 19 g and takes 2.9 seconds. Both are size 3.0 and 10.5 cm long. Choose NS for the slower descent in shallower water and ND for the faster descent in deeper water.
An internal tungsten weight-transfer system works with the Spring Cast system instead of the usual external lead weight. This construction supports long casts for covering more water when fishing for squid, without a stated casting-distance guarantee.
Both NS and ND come in Boops, Golden Nemesis, Ocean Candy, Pink Chaos, White Spirit, IceNFire, FireNIce, Napalm and Vit-C. All feature UV technology for visibility to squid, so you can choose sinking speed independently of colour. No colour-specific light-condition guidance is supplied.
The lure swims under tension and while sinking, with a sharp response to jerks. Its knock-knock system produces sound with each jerk, so active rod movements create both movement and an acoustic signal rather than relying on swimming action alone.
Each pack contains one unscented lure in the selected colour and sinking version, fitted with sharp Savage custom needles. This is an individual squid lure, not a mixed-colour assortment, so order each desired colour or sinking version separately.

The Savage Gear Super Cast Egi is a cloth-covered squid lure for saltwater fishing. Its internal tungsten weight-transfer system works with the Spring Cast system to support long casts, replacing the external lead weight traditionally fitted to egi lures. The lure responds sharply to jerks and swims under tension and while sinking.
All variants are size 3.0 and 10.5 cm long. Normal Shallow (NS) weighs 17 g and sinks at 4.3 seconds per metre. Normal Deep (ND) weighs 19 g and sinks at 2.9 seconds per metre. Choose NS for a slower descent in shallower water, or ND for a faster descent in deeper water. Both retain the same length, so the choice changes weight and sinking speed rather than lure size.
The cloth covering features UV technology to improve visibility to squid. The colour range is designed for different light conditions and moon phases, with Boops, Golden Nemesis, Ocean Candy, Pink Chaos, White Spirit, IceNFire, FireNIce, Napalm and Vit-C available in both sinking versions. The supplier does not specify a separate light-condition recommendation for each colour. The knock-knock system produces sound with each jerk, adding an acoustic signal as you work the lure.
Sharp Savage custom needles are fitted to catch squid. The lure is unscented and supplied individually, with one lure in the selected colour and sinking version per pack.
