Every critical component is sealed against the elements: 8+1 stainless steel ball bearings, a carbon drag system, and an aluminium body topped with a Carbon Reinforced Composite rotor. The proprietary SW5 coating proved its worth in rigorous testing—five hours of direct saltwater spray with no degradation. DuraGrease lubrication ensures smooth operation even after repeated exposure to brine and sand.
The sealed drag houses three-layer washers—fibreglass core sandwiched between carbon fibre faces—for exceptional stiffness and heat dissipation. This design delivers smooth, fade-free stopping power under heavy loads, and the washers are reversible to double their working life. A screw-in aluminium handle with CNC round knob and permanent anti-reverse system give you confident control when big fish run hard.
