The SGS6 Long Casting spinning rods are built for saltwater lure fishing from beaches and through surf. Their Toray 40T carbon blanks combine sensitivity with fish-playing power, while the guide layout supports long casts and line management when reaching beyond the swell or casting into wind.
Both versions are 2.90 m long. The 15–50 g version has Fast action and Medium Heavy power, with a rod weight of 162 g. It is the lighter option for sea bass in surf, including fishing with minnows, pencils, spoons and softbaits. Bonito and bluefish are also named targets for this version. The 30–70 g version has Moderate Fast action and Heavy power at a rod weight of 189 g. Its higher casting range comes with 27 g more weight to hold during repeated casts than the 162 g version. It accommodates heavier lures for bluefish, large sea bass and other coastal predators, including spoons, poppers, minnows and softbaits. Choose it for the higher casting range rather than lures below 30 g. Both versions carry a supplier line rating of 1–1.5 kg.
Fuji stainless steel K guides with SiC (silicon carbide) inserts guide the line, with spacing arranged for distance and line control. A Fuji reel seat secures the reel, and EVA handles provide a comfortable gripping surface for casting and playing fish.
Both rods separate into two sections and have a transport length of 156 cm. A deluxe rod bag is included, so allow room for the packed length when planning transport.
