The SG4 Ultra Light Game is offered in three configurations: two 1.98m models with different casting weights (2–8g and 3–10g) for close-range and technical fishing, and a 2.21m model with 3–10g casting weight for more distance. Choose based on your target species, casting distance preference, and lure size range.
The blanks are constructed from high-quality Japanese Toray 30T carbon fibre, which offers an excellent balance between weight reduction and durability. Guide inserts are SiN (Silicon Nitride) type, known for minimal friction with modern braided lines.
The SG4 Ultra Light Game rods are ideal for anglers seeking precision and feel, but they demand proper technique with light lures. Experienced finesse anglers will get the best from these rods. Beginners may find heavier casting weight rods more forgiving.
The 1.98m rods weigh 88–90g and the 2.21m model weighs 94g, making them among the lightest in their class. This minimal weight reduces fatigue during long sessions and improves casting control.
The 1.98m models break down to 1.08m transport length, and the 2.21m model to 1.16m, both fitting easily in tackle bags and car spaces.
The 2–8g range suits ultra-light spinners, jigs and micro softbaits for shy trout and small bass. The 3–10g range is more versatile, handling a broader array of crankbaits and softbaits. If unsure, the 3–10g variants are the safer choice for mixed fishing.
